Casas Adobes Oral Surgery (CAOS) was in need of a site redesign and rebuild, as their site had become a little dated. CAOS was looking to incorporate some more modern design features to retain user attention, and wanted to move to a more flexible, easy-to-use CMS.
CAOS wanted their new site to focus on educating their users and gathering new clients. They wanted potential clients to be as informed as they possibly could before they set foot in CAOS's office. With that in mind, we set out to create a design that would not only pull the users in, but keep them focused.
CAOS also needed the new site to be as accessible and user-friendly as possible, so that nobody visiting CAOS's site would need to hunt around for the information they needed.
CAOS prides itself on quality of service and customer education. Part of their mission statement is to ensure that the client has all the information they need about their procedure before moving forward. With those things in mind, we set out to design a simple, intuitive website that would inform the user without boring them.
Our goal was simple: keep the bounce rate low, and keep the user engaged.
The new site design employs a generous use of white space to keep user attention drawn to a singular subject at a time. We wanted to avoid overwhelming the user with walls of text, but knew also that the site needed to be information-dense. To accomplish this, we left areas throughout the site for videos that would supplement the text and drive user engagement.
Doctor profiles were also crucial to CAOS's design needs. Each profile page features a large portrait that scrolls with the text, giving the page lots of room to breathe.
Finding CAOS's site was just as important to us as building it, and search engine optimization comes standard with every Desert Lab Studio website. Before deployment, we ensured that CAOS's site was adherent to the latest SEO standards.
